Watercolour illustration inspired by the life and times of the Dionne Quintuplets.
Born in 1934, they were the first ever recorded set of quintuplets (five babies) to survive infancy. The miracle of their birth and their unusual and troubling childhood would continue to haunt them as each woman venture out into the big wide world. With this series, I hope to acknowledge the paths they carved out for themselves, not the upbringing they tried so hard to not let define them.
